What we collect
Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed by our authentication provider), and any photo you upload.
Profile details: school, program, graduation year, current role, expertise, what you're looking for, and an optional resume.
Verification details: the email you verify, the institution matched from our registry, and — for identity checks — the result of a check performed by our identity provider.
How we use it
To create your verified profile, award the correct badge, match you with mentors, jobs, and events, and show your activity to other verified members.
To send account, mentorship, and event notifications. We do not sell your personal information.
Verification documents
Documents you upload for a verification case are stored in a private bucket, readable only by you and reviewing staff.
They are scheduled for deletion after your case is decided and are purged automatically — the decision and its reason are kept for audit, the document is not.
Who can see what
Your real name, school affiliation, badge, and headline are visible to other verified members, and on public school or company pages where you have chosen to appear.
Direct messages are visible only to you and the other member. Your email address is never shown to other members.
Your controls
You can edit or remove profile fields, turn mentorship, referrals, and messages off, and delete your account at any time from your profile.
Deleting your account removes your profile and messages; aggregate, non-identifying counts may remain.
Service providers
We rely on providers for hosting and database, email delivery, identity verification, and payments. Each receives only the data needed for its function.
