Trust & Safety
AlumniClub.ca only works if the badge next to a name means something. This is exactly how verification, moderation, and reporting work — see our community guidelines for the behaviour we expect.

Blue tick — students
School email confirmation, then an identity check for the full badge. Student badges are reconfirmed every 12 months so directories stay current.
Gold tick — alumni
Alumni email or a credential check, then identity verification through our provider, Veriff.
Grey tick — companies
A named primary contact claims the company, confirms a work email on the company's domain, and our team reviews it before anything publishes.
Every post, comment, job, event, and business can be reported
Look for the report action on any piece of content. Our team reviews flagged items and can remove content or restrict an account.
Identity documents are never kept longer than necessary
Documents submitted for verification are used to confirm your identity and school affiliation, then purged on a retention schedule — not kept indefinitely.
Badges expire, so the directory stays honest
Student verification runs on a 12-month cycle. When it lapses, the badge is removed until you reconfirm enrolment or switch to an alumni badge.
